Designed for mature women who want to escape it all and unleash their inner child to play the grownup way, these workshops will introduce you to circus arts in ways that leave you feeling relieved and revitalized.

Imagine waving goodbye to your household and saying, "I'm running away to the circus today!"

The smile on your face.

The curiosity in your heart.

And the twinkle in your eye when you smile at other women who made the same choice.

You're a grown-ass woman and you know you need more.

+ more time than running an errand to have a moment to yourself

+ more restoration than sitting for an extra breath while your kids pile out of the car

+ more connection than fleeting conversations through gritted teeth that leave you with an exasperated sigh

Running Away with the Circus is more than an invitation to learn circus arts. It is a reclamation.

+ a reclamation of your time and energy

+ a declaration that you deserve to have fun

+ an initiation to being in a community of authentic dedicated movement enthusiasts

Not only will you try a circus art like aerial hammock, lyra, or juggling, you'll learn simple empowerment practices that you can use every day to come back to your joy, your power, your strength in your day to day life.

Run Away with the Circus and discover how high you can fly when you do something just for you and you get to be ALL of you.

Run away to the circus with us because we are ready to honor your highs and your lows, your determination, your ability to fly, to flow, and to laugh and so much more!

Frequently Asked Questions

We understand that you might never have dreamed that you could do circus arts. Let us assure you, if you're reading this then you probably can and Running Away with the Circus is the perfect way to try.

Question 1: Why is this just for women?

At this time, these workshops are reserved for women because of their unique lived experience. By bringing forward her training and experience as a pleasure coach certified by the School of Womanly Arts, NY, NY Esme invites Women to own their truth, speak the unspoken, and feel cared-for in ways that are exclusive to the nature and dynamics of feminine flow.

Question 2: I'm younger than 40, can I still join?

YES.

Question 3: Am I strong enough?

YES. When Esme called and asked that same question about aerial silks she was told that all you need is to wear tight clothes and have a good attitude. The coaches will meet you where you are and guide you forward.

Question 4: Do I have to wear tight clothes?

You have to wear clothes that are appropriate for training. That means no zippers or hard adornments, no jewelry, and clothing fitted to the body. Loose clothing gets tangled in aerial apparatuses.

Question 5: Can I do these workshops as a beginner?

YES. These are designed to be light-hearted and accessible because we want to support Women who need an escape, to have fun, and to leave feeling regulated and empowered. You will find your own limits in your body and choose the degree to which you need to move powerfully or move gently. So no matter what your experience level is, you will be encouraged and supported to find your sweet spot.

About Esme: Esme began training with Circus Foundry during the pandemic at the age of 43 while she was living with long-hauler COVID-19. What she discovered was a new world of delightfully challenging multidimensional puzzles for her body and mind. Since those first days in Aerial Silks, she has added Aerial Sling, Aerial Rope, Juggling, Strength Training, and Hand Balancing to her weekly training. Circus became an integral part of Esme’s wellness journey along with Kundalini Yoga (where she’s logged 1500+ hours of devotion) as well as a favorite feature of homeschooling her neurodivergent teenagers. Now, as a certified Pleasure Coach from Mama Gena’s School of Womanly Arts, and with a certificate for Lifestyle and Wellness Coaching from Harvard Medical School, she sees the dynamics and range of empowerment coaching as a natural complement to weave together with circus so that her clients grow their capacity for pleasure and ease. esme-celeste.com
